My son had recently watched the movie and loves this toy. The assembly was a bit finicky, but once it was together it feels very solid and doesn't seem like it will come apart. I think my biggest complaint is that the additional eyes and hands are almost certainly going to get lost as there is no storage with the toy itself to keep them.

very easy to build and put together, love the added of the banana and storage spot for it. wish the instructions had a bit of color, son had trouble finding a black disk part in the black plastic container because he didnt know it was black lol.

Yes you do have to assemble it but that's advertised. It's called a model kit for a reason. Super easy to put together. Arms are rubbery so you can arrange it accordingly. Quality is great as it is a licensed product. The eyes are also interchangeable to change his expression and his mouth can spin around. You do have to thumb the mouth instead of it being on a spring or something. The feet is on springs for some reason but they do bend. Overall, great toy I think. I just wish were was a pocket to store his spare hands and eyes.

Its important to note first of all that you have to build this toy - so make sure that your child is happy to do this and is old enough to do so. You will probably need to help with it as well. I think given that this is more of a build-a-toy (kind of like a puzzle or lego set) that it could be marketed better as this. There are different pieces to swap out on it which is interesting.
Could make a great gift for an adult minion fan as well.
